Wellness Programs
The NonProfit Center’s Wellness Programs are designed to help staff in the center and in the broader Boston community take time to recharge and re-engage. Our regularly scheduled Wellness Programs are easily-accessible opportunities to have fun, exercise and relax. We provide much needed access to local, organic and affordable food through the community-supported agriculture program with Stone Soup Farms. We also occasionally work with socially responsible product vendors to increase awareness about healthy purchasing choices. The NonProfit Center is pleased to offer the following wellness programs: Yoga for the WorkplaceThe perfect way to end your day: yoga! New classes will begin in January, 2012. Mindfulness-Based Stress ReductionMindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a stress reduction technique that uses the mind’s ability to be aware. It is beneficial for anyone who wants to cope with stress in a healthy manner. PilatesPilates is a full body workout that builds muscles without bulk through a sequence of controlled, precise movements. Introduction to MeditationThere has been much in the news, from The Boston Globe to Oprah Magazine, about using meditation for reducing stress and increasing health. Come to one (or more) of these beginner-level classes at the NonProfit Center. Farm Share program with Stone Soup FarmInterested in purchasing local, chemical-free vegetables? The NonProfit Center is the Boston-area drop-off site for the community supported agriculture program with Stone Soup Farm.
