Boston’s Home for Social Change Nonprofits
Green Tip
Despite the economic crisis and a growing awareness about global climate change, a recent study indicated that 50% of all personal computers and monitors are not properly shut down at night. This seemingly innocuous habit and its associated energy use causes an estimated 20 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions and an expense of $2.8 billion – all to power unused machines.

The NonProfit Center, developed by Third Sector New England, is the first mission-based, multi-tenant center in Massachusetts created exclusively as a home for progressive social change organizations. Located at 89 South Street in Boston’s historic Leather District, the center is within walking distance of the Massachusetts State House, Boston City Hall and the city’s financial district.
The NonProfit Center provides nine floors of comfortable, functional office and meeting space for both large and small nonprofits. As a “green” building following the principles of sustainable design, construction and management, the center offers tenants a healthy and pleasant work environment.
